As populations age, developing innovative solutions that improve quality of life and preserve mobility has become an increasingly important priority for healthcare systems worldwide. Public engagement initiatives that highlight scientific advances play an essential role in raising awareness of the research addressing these societal challenges.

Fetalix was featured in Linha da Frente, one of RTP's flagship documentary series, in the episode Viver Mais, Viver Melhor. Produced by Portugal's public broadcaster, the programme explores topics of national relevance through in-depth reporting, bringing scientific, social, and technological issues closer to the general public.
During the documentary, Fetalix co-founder and CEO Joana Caldeira discussed the impact of intervertebral disc degeneration on chronic low back pain and quality of life, highlighting the potential of fetal-inspired regenerative biomaterials to promote tissue repair. The interview also explored how the company's approach seeks to contribute to healthier ageing by developing regenerative therapies that aim to preserve spinal function while incorporating principles of sustainability through the valorization of biological by-products.
By participating in Linha da Frente, Fetalix had the opportunity to contribute to the public discussion on the future of regenerative medicine and the role of scientific innovation in addressing the challenges of an ageing society, while increasing the visibility of research being developed in Portugal.
