Fetalix participated in the Bridges4Health kick-off meeting, held on March 3, 2026, at Espaço Vita in Braga. The event marked the official launch of the Regional Smart Specialisation Platform (PREI) in Life and Health Sciences for Northern Portugal.
The initiative brought together 43 institutions across academia, clinical organizations, industry, and regional development bodies, including the Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional do Norte (CCDR-N). It aims to strengthen ecosystem integration and foster coordinated action in health innovation across the region.
The platform is structured around four strategic domains - precision medicine, clinical research, biomedical devices and technologies, and microbiome and health - reflecting key areas where scientific advancement can be translated into improved healthcare solutions.
During the kick-off, participants outlined 27 strategic actions designed to accelerate collaboration and support the development of innovation across the life and health sciences ecosystem.
Fetalix’s participation reflects its engagement with regional innovation initiatives and its commitment to contributing to collaborative efforts that advance biotechnology and regenerative medicine within the broader healthcare landscape.
