Fetalix has won the EIT Jumpstarter competition, a European pre-acceleration program supporting early-stage innovators in transforming scientific concepts into viable startups. This achievement, which took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, marked the kick-off of the company.
The EIT Jumpstarter program, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), provides mentoring, training, and validation within the European innovation ecosystem. It is designed to help early-stage technologies progress from research-based ideas to structured entrepreneurial ventures.
This award represented a pivotal step in Fetalix’s early journey, providing both the recognition of its scientific vision and the support required to move forward with company creation.
This achievement was made possible through the dedication of the founding team - Joana Caldeira, Morena Fiordalisi, Raquel Gonçalves, and Hugo Prazeres - whose work laid the foundations of the company.
